This workshop makes VIAFLEX bags used for infusions, irrigation, peritoneal dialysis and RTU (ready-to-use solutions such as Brevibloc and Fluconazol).
Nutrition
The range of Nutrition products is used for complex intravenous therapies for patients for whom oral or enteral feeding is insufficient or contraindicated.
Baxter Lessines produces two types of bags: Monobags & Tri-chamber bags.
Sterilisation
All bags from the Sterile Drugs division must pass through the sterilisation workshop. Carts used for the bags are loaded into steam-driven autoclaves for sterilisation. The sterilisation process is done with water vapour according to well-defined parameters.
The course of each cycle is registered, documented and put in the product release file.
Packaging
The packaging activities of the Lessines workshop include the packaging of Viaflex bags, Nutrition bags and Inhalant vials
Once packaged, these products are dispatched to Baxter branches through the BDCE warehouse.
